Holiday Hair Tips – Get Your Style to Last!

 

Don’t you hate it when your hair style won’t last!!  I can’t stand it.  All the time and effort for a 30 minute style makes me crazy.  I‘m a busy lady and my baby fine hair hates updos and curls.

 

You don’t have to go to a salon, trust me.  Check out Sally’s Beauty Supply and grab a few things.  You will find hair accessories and beyond!!  Even if you can’t find a “Sally’s” there are many other beauty suppliers just look in your local phone book.

 

I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for 10 years now in California and Arizona and this is what I’ve found works best…

 

v    Make sure that your hair is completely dry - sometimes it will feel dry, but isn’t.  Let it cool a little then blow dry again to make sure.

 

v     Lightly spray hairspray all over before you start your Style.

 

v     If you are using a curling iron or straightening iron make sure that they are really HOT before you begin using them.  Heat makes your hair shinny and hold as it flattens down the top layers of the actual hair.

 

v    Last let your curls or straightened hair COOL before you start moving it around.  This helps to set the style and prevents frizz.

 

v    Then style how you want, French Twist, clips, whatever haha!!  Be creative.  You can always start over, its just hairspray.
