Great New Books. Have You Read....something "odd"

The Dean Koontz books about a guy named Odd Thomas have topped my list!! I am not always the biggest Dean Koontz fan but he has changed my mind with this new series. With three books dedicated to this new character he has introduced us to a charming young man with an amazing gift to see the dead. Odd Thomas is quirkey and as his name points out a little odd but at the same time he is intruiging and loveable. The first book "Odd Thomas" mixes the mystery that Koontz is a master of with just the right hint of a real love story. Odd encounters the dead before they are ready to move on usually because he must help them find justice. The lost souls are unable to speak, so Odd must seek the truth in other ways. Through the first book you are brought into his simple world and Koontz really makes you feel and see through Odd's eyes. It has all you need.. the mystery and "who dunnit" as well as true love, great friends and as an added bonus comedy! It seems even Elvis is lost and finds comfort with Odd in a small desert town called Pico Mundo.

I want to go on and tell you so much more about Odd and his adventures but really I hope I have said just enough to make you run out and get a copy of Odd Thomas.You will find that there is something for everybody in these books. You may start looking over your shoulder a little more often!
